Montreal and Toronto, August 22, 2023.

Nancy Chapelle, Executive Director of The Bell Fund, today announced the appointment of Pierre-Anais Parent St-Gelais as the new Deputy Director, based in our Montreal office. Pierre-Anais will manage French Canada alongside Suzanne Lacey who continues in her role as Deputy Director English Canada. The appointment is effective August 28th.  

Pierre-Anais comes to the Bell Fund from Corus where she managed the deployment of digital communication campaigns across all French-language channels including Series Plus, Historia, La Chaine Disney and Teletoon from May 2019 to the present. During that time Pierre-Anais was asked to assume the position of Acting Head of the Communication and Marketing Department overseeing a team of 8.  

For 10 years, prior to her time at Corus, Pierre-Anais held the position of Digital Project Manager for ICI ARTV, ICI EXPLORA and Radio Canada supervising the execution of various large-scale linear, experiential, and convergent projects. “It gives me great pleasure to welcome Pierre-Anais to the Bell Fund”, said Nancy Chapelle. 

The Bell Fund would also like to acknowledge the departure of Chantal Cote and congratulate Chantal on her appointment as Executive Director of the Canadian Academy’s Quebec Branch. Chantal arrived at the Bell Fund in 2017 and quickly established herself as a leader committed to building francophone production in Quebec and across the country. “We are excited that Pierre-Anais will continue this important work and wish Chantal every success in her new role”, said Chapelle.
