Montreal and Toronto, February 25, 2020: The Board of Directors of the Bell Fund has announced its decisions for the January 6, 2020 deadline for the Slate Development Program. Over $1.6 million in funding has been approved to support IP development budgets totaling over $2.8 million. This funding supports 32 independent production companies including 22 English and 10 French-language companies with a third of the companies outside Ontario and Quebec. The Fund is excited to support these slates, which include 65 projects, and to support the independent production companies to develop their own, original Canadian IP.
