Low Budget Cross Platform Digital Media Production



The Low Budget production program is meant to encourage the production of high quality, modestly budgeted (max. budget of $100,000) interactive digital media projects that are associated with a television program licensed by a Canadian broadcaster.

Approved projects will receive a grant of up to 75% of the cost of production of the new media component to a maximum of $75,000. As of January 2013 projects that receive Digital Media financing will also be eligible to receive the TV Licence Fee Top-up funding. Eligible Television projects (see Guidelines) can receive up to 75% of Canadian Television Broadcaster Licence Fees to a maximum of $75,000.

This program will accept Applications February 1, May 1, July 15 and October 1 and it is the intent that funding decisions will be announced by the end of the month of application.
