Low Budget Production

The Low Budget production program is meant to encourage the production of high quality, modestly budgeted (max. budget of $100,000) interactive digital media projects that are associated with a television program licensed by a Canadian broadcaster.

Approved projects will receive a grant of up to 75% of the cost of production of the new media component to a maximum of $75,000. As of January 2013 projects that receive Digital Media financing will also be eligible to receive the TV Licence Fee Top-up funding. Eligible Television projects (see Guidelines) can receive up to 75% of Canadian Television Broadcaster Licence Fees to a maximum of $75,000.

This program will accept Applications the first day of every month and it is the intent that funding decisions will be announced by the end of the month of application.

 
Required documents for application:
1. Complete Application Form, in *.DOC format
2. Complete Bell Fund Digital Media Production Budget template, in *.XLS format 
3. Complete Broadcaster Support Form, in *.DOC or .PDF format
4. Proof of eligible broadcaster(s) commitment to licence the television component (full length broadcaster licence agreement, or detailed deal memo, or letter of commitment detailing the actual licence amount and the format in which the program will be shot and broadcast)
5. Television Budget Summary
6. Co-production agreement, or, services agreement, between the Television Producer and the Digital Media Producer (if applicable)
